WIN#96 I’ve found people playing music / watching movies without headphones in airport lounges a couple of times,,,,
Ask them if they’ve forgotten their headphones. If they have, offer them some. They’ll probably be embarrassed at having disturbed you, but also grateful and will accept the headphones, solving the noise pollution problem.
When they’ve offered to return them, since they cost you nothing / 100bob, let them keep them. That’ll save the next person from suffering the same loud music!
WIN#95 Story story
Once upon a time there was this old lady in a train. Two girls were messing about playing awful music very loudly on a phone. Lady asks them politely to turn it down. They ignore her and roll their eyes. After a while the old lady stands in the aisle and sings an operatic aria. The girls look on open-mouthed. When she finishes she says “”As you were kind enough to share your music with me, I thought it was only fair to share mine with you.” The other passengers gave her a round of applause and the girls turned their music down.
